Sumida River Cruise, Chuo Ohashi 中央大橋

This is Chuo Ohashi.

The bridge was designed by the French design company because the Sumida River is friendly relations with the Seine River in France.

In the bridge girder on the upstream side, there is the statue of messenger given as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

This statue is facing the upstream of the river, so you can see it from the riverside or on the boat.

The main tower of the bridge is designed with the image of a Japanese war helmet.

「中央大橋（ちゅうおうおおはし）」です。

隅田川がフランスのセーヌ川と友好河川の関係にあることから、この橋はフランス人によりデザインされました。

上流側の橋げたには、フランスから友好の証として送られた彫像があります。

こちらの彫像は正面が川の上流方向を向いているため、川辺や船の上から見ることができます。

また、橋の主塔は日本の兜をイメージしたデザインとなっています。
